The Tigers win a close one at the Tigard Tualatin Invitational held at Tualatin CC.
It was a wet day on the course but the course held it own against Mother Nature. The greens were in very good shape as the Boys played through the less than desirable conditions.
The Tigers win in a playoff against Tualatin with the teams ending in a tie at 315 for the top 4 scores. The tie was broken with Tigard’s 5th man Gavin Kim shooting a solid 87 in his first Varsity tournament.
The whole team played well today being lead by Junior Nathan Mallory’s 77 and 3rd overall. Holzgang shot 78, which was good enough for a 5th overall finish and closely followed by Alexander 79, Rodriguez 81, Kim 87.
The team is excited for the season and are starting to believe they can make a good showing this year in the always tough 3 Rivers League.
The Tigers have their sights set on making it to State as a team.
